Muscari comes from the Latin: muscus (musky). Some species are surrounded by this musk odor. The genus Muscari consists of about thirty species from the Mediterranean region, Turkey to the Caucasus. Known under the collective name blue grapes. However, not only the various shades of blue or blue-purple, but also white, sporadic yellow and even pink colors are found.
